  • It is neither. Our homes are home kit systems that are site built. We ship the components of the kit to your property for installation. We do, however use a Metal SIP for the structure and insulation. The Metal SIP is prefabricated in the factory according to the the structural engineers instructions based on the home design, location and other factors. All of our home designs are stamped and permitted giving customers peace of mind that their home is gold-standard quality.

  • Absolutely.  CloudHaus Kits will most likely be categorized under steel framing.  Most homeowners can expect to pay less on their insurance policies for steel framing over timber framing.  Check with your insurance carrier for pricing.

  • Yes.

  • All homes require maintenance, however, wood-framed homes, metal and EPS panels do not suffer mold, mildew, fungus, rot, termite and vermin damage, bowing, water damages and dilapidation. That reduces the maintenance time and costs significantly. More so, the insulation won’t degrade over time and weep down in the wall system, loosing valuable energy. And there is no food source for termites, mold, rats and other critters to enjoy, adding another level of peace of mind that your home is protected for years to come.

  • CloudHaus Kits are classified as site- built homes. The components of the home arrive in a kit from the factory ready for assembly. The home’s structural framing, insulation, vapor barrier and sheathing take the form of prefabricated panels (4ft x 8, 10, or 12). These panels are pre-engineered according to any home design you desire and stamped by our structural engineers for your exact property location. The panels come with pre-cut window and door openings and an electrical channel running horizontal throughout.

A home building kit has many valuable benefits for property owners, contractors and developers.

There is no wasted time procuring materials for the home build. There is no waste given it’s a kit, therefore there are no landfill charges or wasted time on dump runs.

The panels, because they provide 4 steps into 1 panel, save 50% in labor, allowing the build to be completed in months vs. years. The quicker the build, the faster, 1. owners can move in, 2. developers can begin earning income from occupancy, and 3. contractors and builders can take on more projects, increasing their income.
