it takes a village To "Raise" a Village
Youth Spirit Artworks' Tiny Village For Un-housed Youth, Oakland, CA
CloudHaus is proud to be part of the nation's first tiny home village dedicated to Oakland's youth ages 17-21 that have been displaced and experience homelessness. We've had the pleasure of donating and building this "prefabricated kit" dwelling along with community volunteers. The all red steel building serves as a medical clinic for village youth using a volunteer medical team of professionals delivering care to Oakland's disenfranchised unhoused population. The building will also be used as a "shelter in place" dwelling in the event of a natural disaster.
community and cooperation
CloudHaus believes homelessness is not a life sentence even though it may feel like it. We believe in planting seeds (fostering new growth), but not growing roots (a more permanent state that holds one back from living up to their full potential). If you or a loved one is experiencing homelessness, there are resources to secure temporary housing as well as a gentle pathway forward to more permanent, long-term housing, job placement and community support.

building safe Villages + Communities
All too often, the homeless are offered shelters that are cheap and easy to obtain which some say is better than nothing. Homeless encampments are prone to fires, pest infestations, molds and extremely hot or cold temperatures. They deserve to have a comfortable living environment that keeps them warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather, free from fire danger, pests/rodents that cause disease or can enter their dwelling and ransack food supplies. CloudHaus has developed the "Defender" Series of Tiny Houses that do just that.
CloudHauz panelized dwelling kits offer the highest fire safety ratings (Class A Fire Ratings).
CloudHaus in on a mission to encourage the development of homelessness communities that provide safe and affordable dwellings that are also earth-friendly. We support the Housing First social policy, that moves the homeless directly from the streets into their own accommodations, as long as there are robust services available to give them the support they require.
